BIO / Ronnie Michael

Ronnie Michael knew that she wanted to be an artist from the time she was a child and grew up drawing at the park in Paramus NJ with her father. She graduated from Tyler school of Design and Architecture in 1972 with a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration and began working in New York City as a Graphic Designer in Advertising.

After moving to Cherry Hill, NJ and having children, Ronnie launched a successful personalization business called “You Name It” in Cherry Hill, NJ with her business partner and friend Ivy Schnoll.

When Ronnie’s favorite child attended The University of the Arts, Ronnie returned to classes learning how to weld.

Later, Ronnie found a passion for Mosiac art after after studying under Isaiah Zagar, Bella’s Mosaics and Trish Metner (among others).

Her work has been displayed at The Main Line Art Center, in Washington DC at the Center for Contemporary Political Art, at City Hall in Philadelphia and has had her art used in the background on AMC’s “Dispatches from Elsewhere”, QVC’s “Hot Chocolate” and in various television commercials.

Ronnie dedicates her art to the memory of her dear friend, Merryl.
